Urge Congress to Reintroduce the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act

CARA was thrown out once Congress began its new session January 2011.

Ask Senator Robert Menendez to reintroduce it!

Autism Awareness

The Combating Autism Reauthorization Act (CARA) was introduced by former Senator Chris Dodd and Senator Robert Menendez on December 10th, 2010. CARA would have established a national institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as provided much more comprehensive education, treatment, care, and support to families dealing with autism. CARA was designed to create further awareness about this difficult disorder.

However, when the new Congress began its session in early January 2011, this bill was thrown out. We still need legislation like CARA to pass if we are going to improve autism support in this country. Please sign the petition urging Senator Menendez to continue fighting for this important cause and reintroduce CARA.
