5-Year-Old Raises $25K With A Lemonade Stand To Find a Cure for Her BrotherThe Autism Site
What were you doing when you were five years old? Playing on the swing set? Jumping rope? We bet you weren’t doing anything nearly as awesome as this girl is doing. But don’t worry; we weren’t either.
5-year-old Na’ama Uzan has a 7-year-old brother who suffers from Angelman Syndrome, a rare development and neurological disability. He cannot speak or walk and is subject to seizures. He can’t participate in most of the normal activities kids his age are able to do.
But Na’ama wants to change that.
So she has set up a lemonade stand in hopes to raise money and awareness to find a cure. She sells lemonade and baked goods with the goal funding a solution for her brother’s condition so he can do all the things kids his age should be doing.
News of her stand has spread, and on this day, she received some amazing news from a family in California! Someone else had been touched by her work and inspired to raise money too. Just wait until you hear how much and see this adorable little girl’s reaction to the amount!
Good work, Na’ama! You are an inspiration for all of us!!
