5 Gorgeous, Mesmerizing Sensory Bottles You Can Easily (and Inexpensively!) DIY

Calming bottles can be a useful intervention tool for those on the autism spectrum. These glittery, captivating bottles can soothe children (and teens and adults, too!) when they are upset and help them regulate their emotions. Depending on the amount of time it takes for the glitter to settle to the bottom, the bottle can even be used as a timer for your children when they’re in timeout or just when they need a break from a task.

This video tutorial will walk you through the steps of making your own unique and amazing calming bottle. Take a look!

Supplies:
Sturdy plastic water bottle,
Tap water,
Clear tacky glue,
Fine glitter or glitter glue (or both),
Anything else sparkly or engaging you want to add (like plastic confetti),
Super glue for gluing the cap shut so prying hands can’t make a mess!

Check out the five variations you can make in the video!
