A diagnosis of severe autism at age 2 hasn’t slowed down Keaton Bicknell!

At 18 years old, this young man has written, directed, edited, and composed music for his own short film, “The Adventures of Pelican Pete: A Bird Is Born,” according to The Mighty.

Bicknell also worked with 20-year-old animator Dani Bowman, who has also been diagnosed with autism, and is the founder of an animation studio, Power Light-Studios (she started her ventures at a young age, too; she founded this animation studio when she was just 11 years old!).

This short film combines animation and live action scenes to share its ecological message, and it is actually based off of a book series, “Pelican Pete.”

Bicknell actually started writing the screenplay for this project when he was just 11 years old. That’s pretty awesome!

Check out this video to enjoy the trailer for this young man’s show business debut!
