When He Saw This Tangled Deer It Was Just Part Of His Job To Help

Conservation officer John McLain (not the one from the Die Hard movies), who works for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, got a call that a young buck was badly entangled in baling twine. Deer stuck in a fence or having their antlers stuck on something is not unusual for a conservation officer.

But for McLain, this is all just part of the daily job for a Fish and Game Department conservation officer.

Bucks can actually get their antlers locked while fighting and unfortunately they are now stuck together and do not tend to live long after that. On seeing the approaching McLain, the buck initially tried to get away; however, once McLain touched it, the buck somehow realized that the officer was only there to help.

This amazing video shows how the deer stayed calm while McLain worked to cut him free.

The body camera on McLain captured a unique perspective of this incident, but for him it was just another rescue. Watch another deer rescue, this time by policemen.
