Carly Discovers Her Inner VoiceThe Autism Site
Carly was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2, and her disease led to a condition called oral motor apraxia, which inhibited her ablity to speak verbally. Carly and her family did not let her diagnosis limit her however, and they soon discovered that her silent voice could speak louder than many. Carly realized that she had the ability to move and inspire people by documenting her experiences. She maintains an active Facebook page, blog, and is a regular on TV shows and other autism awareness campaigns.
