For a child, losing a favorite toy can be an absolutely devastating experience. But thanks to acts of kindness from strangers, one little girl’s favorite doll made it back home through an epic journey across the world…and arrived just in time for her owner’s special day!

Delilah is a young girl on the spectrum who, about a year before her seventh birthday, lost her favorite doll, Clawdeen, in New York City (is anyone else thinking of the Plain White T’s song? Because that’s the first thing that came to my mind!). Luckily, Clawdeen was picked up by a kindhearted stranger from Australia. But before sending the doll back to the little girl, this stranger let Clawdeen take a world tour.

Needless to say, Delilah was delighted to see her favorite doll again…and thrilled that the kind strangers involved in the project had given Clawdeen some extra changes of clothes.
